Xurrent ITSM Implementation
Anneal Tech is the first US Gold certified Xurrent partner and runs Xurrent in production daily. The Xurrent Implementation service covers everything from current state assessment through go live, including migration from legacy ITSM platforms (ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, Cloudblue, and others), incident and change workflow design, integration with monitoring and CMDB tools, security baseline configuration, and handoff training so your team owns the platform when delivery completes.
Why move to Xurrent
Your legacy ITSM is slowing you down. Incident response takes too long. Change management is a bottleneck. Support costs are climbing. And if you are on Cloudblue, ServiceNow, Jira Service Management, or another aging platform, vendor roadmap alignment and vendor lock in are now strategic risks. Xurrent offers a modern, AI native, configuration first approach that lets ITSM keep pace with the speed of the business without requiring an army of developers to maintain custom code.
Implementing Xurrent well is its own discipline. It is not enough to lift incident management from one tool to another; the implementation should be the chance to redesign workflows, retire technical debt, and put a clean operating model in place. Done well, Xurrent implementation pays back in faster incident resolution, lower platform total cost of ownership, and a service management practice that supports rather than blocks business velocity.
What is included
- Current state assessment - inventory of current ITSM workflows, integrations, and pain points.
- Migration design - mapping from legacy platform (ServiceNow, Jira, Cloudblue, others) to Xurrent.
- Incident Management and Response (IMR) configured for your escalation rules and SLA targets.
- Problem management workflows that reduce repeat incidents.
- Change control and release management that fits your velocity.
- Self service portal and knowledge base integration.
- Third party integrations with monitoring, CMDB, ticketing, and chat platforms mapped and tested.
- Security baseline and compliance readiness aligned to SOC 2 and applicable frameworks.
- Runbooks and operating procedures documented for your team to keep.
- Handoff training so your team manages and optimizes the platform after go live.
The implementation methodology
Discovery captures the current state including workflows, integrations, and operational pain points. Design produces the target Xurrent configuration with explicit decisions on workflow structure, escalation paths, integration points, and security baseline. Configuration builds the platform in a non production environment with iterative validation against design intent. Data migration moves historical incident, change, asset, and knowledge content. Integration testing validates monitoring, CMDB, chat, and ticketing connections. User acceptance testing confirms readiness with your team. Cutover moves production traffic to Xurrent with documented rollback procedures. Hypercare supports the first weeks of operation. Handoff transitions platform ownership to your team or to Managed Xurrent Administration if continuity is preferred.
What you receive
- Xurrent platform configured to the agreed design and ready for production use.
- Migration of historical data from the legacy platform.
- Integration deployments for monitoring, CMDB, chat, and other connected systems.
- Documented configuration covering workflows, roles, and integration points.
- Runbooks for common operational scenarios.
- Training materials for service desk, change managers, and platform administrators.
- Hypercare support during the post go live stabilization window.

Frequently asked questions
Why Xurrent (formerly 4me)?
Xurrent is built for the Service-Oriented Enterprise. It is unique because it was designed from the ground up for collaboration between organizations and their service providers, with a focus on fast time-to-value and low total cost of ownership.
How long does a typical implementation take?
Unlike legacy ITSM platforms that take 6-12 months, a standard Xurrent implementation for IT (Incident, Request, Problem, and Change) can be completed in 4 to 8 weeks.
Can we use this for departments other than IT?
Absolutely. That is the Enterprise in ESM. We commonly implement Xurrent for HR (onboarding/offboarding), Facilities (maintenance requests), and Finance (expense approvals), all within the same unified portal.
Do you help with process design, or just the tool?
Both. A tool is only as good as the process it supports. We work with you to define your service catalog, request workflows, and SLA targets before we touch a single configuration setting.
Does Xurrent integrate with our existing tools?
Yes. Xurrent has a robust API and pre-built connectors for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, and common monitoring/discovery tools. We handle the integration setup as part of the implementation.
What about training for our staff?
We provide comprehensive training for Specialists (the people resolving the tickets) and Designers (the people managing the system), as well as onboarding materials for your End Users.
Engagement model and program integration
Xurrent Implementation is a fixed scope engagement that delivers a working ITSM platform in four to eight weeks for the standard IT scope of Incident, Request, Problem, and Change. The engagement starts with process design workshops rather than configuration: service catalog definition, request workflow mapping, SLA and OLA targets, and escalation paths are all decided before the first setting is touched in the tool. Configuration follows the design, integrations with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, Slack, and discovery and monitoring tooling are built, and end user portal branding and content are finalized. The implementation ends with cutover, training for Specialists and Designers, and end user onboarding materials.
The Xurrent platform itself is built for the Service Oriented Enterprise, with a fast time to value and a total cost of ownership that compares favorably to legacy platforms such as ServiceNow or BMC. The collaboration model between organizations and their service providers is unique in the market and pays off when Anneal Tech operates as your service provider while you operate the same platform for your own internal departments. For organizations that want to extend Service Management beyond IT into HR onboarding, Facilities maintenance, and Finance approvals, the same platform serves all of those use cases under the ESM umbrella.
Implementation is the first step of a longer journey. The ESM Implementation Management Roadmap structures the expansion from IT into other departments in 30 to 60 day sprints, and the Managed Xurrent Administration service handles the ongoing configuration, optimization, and quarterly Xurrent release adoption so the platform stays current without committing an internal full time administrator. Most clients move into Managed Administration immediately after implementation.
